Here's how eBay consignment
works: |

You bring in an item you would like
to sell. |
|
|
- We advise you on the suitability of the item for eBay
auction sale.
- We show you what similar items have recently sold for on
eBay.
- Together, we agree on a starting price for your auction.
- We take photographs, do any necessary research, and
create and edit the eBay listing.
- We handle any questions from potential buyers during the
7 day auction period.
- If your item sells, the buyer pays for the item and the
shipping and we pack and ship the item. When the
buyer has received the item and is satisfied, we write you
a check.
- If your item does not sell you pay only a nominal
listing fee to eBay, usually under $2.00. You come
and take the item back.

What we need from you: |
|
|
- Your contact information, including your address, phone and
email address.
- Your minimum acceptable cash return.
- Your item in clean and saleable condition, including all the
parts it needs to be in working condition.
- Any information you have about the age and origin of the item.
- If the item is of modest size, value and fragility we will
hold it here until the auction is finished.
- Large, high value or very delicate items will have to be
brought in for photography, or you must supply good
pictures. We may ask that you keep this kind of item at
home.
- Items that will not sell for at least $25.00 are not suitable
because after the fees are paid they do not produce a
significant return.

Where the money goes: |
|
|
Here is an example of an item that sells for $100.00. |
|
|
- We list the item for $24.99 starting price plus $15.00
shipping.
- After 7 days the auction closes at $100.99.
- The auction winner pays $115.99, that is the $100.99 selling
price and the $15.00 shipping cost.
- eBay gets the $.50 insertion fee. They get this fee
whether the item sells or not.
- We get 25%, or $25.25
- eBay gets $4.85 as their selling fee
- PayPal gets $3.66 for handling the exchange of money.
- The consignor gets a check for $66.75
